In December 2011, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published their updated guidelines for surveyors of hospitals. The published version was released as a draft in January 2011.  Many hospitals have already incorporated the new requirements. The new regulations can be found here.  The Anesthesia Services section starts at Section 482.52 or A-1000.
